Dunedin, Florida is a great little town situated on the open water Gulf of Mexico. This is most clear, unobstructed view of the water you'll find anywhere on the west coast of Florida. Dunedin is ideally located in the Tampa Bay area - west of Tampa, north of St. Pete, just a stone's throw north of Clearwater and Clearwater Beach

Dunedin has so much going for it, it's hard to decide where to start! However, since it is Florida, let's talk about beaches. Dunedin has a few, all of them unique and special. First, there is the Dunedin Causeway, which has beaches up and down on both sides. If you just want to go for a walk with man's best friend or a bike ride and just grab a spot in the sand, this is the place for you. If you prefer to day, and continue to fill until you get to Honeymoon Island. It is a state park and nature preserve, so it is absolutely beautiful and pristine.

This island is formed by a hurricane around the turn of the 20th Century, and called the honeymoon island of small boxes that are placed here as a rental for many years, often living couple who came down from up north train. There are several beaches on the island, including one that is specifically for your four-legged friends! You may prefer to take the ferry from Honeymoon Island is a remote island, Caladesi Island, which was named No. 1 beach in the country for 2008 - and for good reason! You never want to leave this place once you get here. Both Honeymoon Island Caladesi Island are beautiful, clean, shallow, warm water (throughout the year, unless there is UN-Florida as a cold snap) surrounding them ideal for children or anyone who just loves lazy days at the beach. Natives of the area say the warm, shallow water is the reason that hurricanes seem to skirt the area in the last 100 years.

Dunedin also has more than 100 small shops, restaurants, bars and pubs, galleries and antique shops, with nary a big franchise in očima.Downtown wine is absolutely the best wine you ever orange flavor, titled Midnight Sun, a Dunedin brewery has a lot of microbrews on tap. With around 35,000 inhabitants, it is a charming town that has the amenities of larger towns nearby. There is a marina and several guest houses and hotels within easy walking distance of downtown, and there's almost always something going on downtown-parade, farmers market, concerts, arts and crafts festivals and many other events. Dunedin is the spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays, and there are many other Major League teams that train within easy driving distance as well.

of abandoned CSX railroad along the west coast got a new life as the Pinellas Trail. Today, it is 39 miles long all-purpose trails for walking, jogging, biking or skating, and follows the coast pretty closely, often with breathtaking views. When you have a place like this workout, it's easy to stay in shape!
